Orthotics & Prosthetics Rehabilitation

Orthotics & Prosthetics Rehabilitation

For the canine patient, use of veterinary orthotics & prosthetics (VOP) requires “top-down” control of the device, a movement pattern that is biomechanically novel for our canine patients. In the Orthotics & Prosthetics Rehabilitation clinical manual the current evidence supporting the application of VOP for canine patients is provided and the process of rehabilitation is described in detail from evaluation to treatment. Rehabilitation techniques including sensory, behavioral, and functional integration are discussed and include descriptive photographs so practitioners can successfully treat patients with orthotics and prosthetics.

Looking for home exercise programs for VOP patients? Client home program instructional videos and written descriptions of VOP donning/doffing and VOP exercises are now available in the Canine Home Exercises video-based home exercises platform and can be viewed with the 14-day free trial. Canine Home Exercises is sold separately as a subscription service.

Orthotics & Prosthetics Rehabilitation includes a hard copy manual and PDF download (U.S.A and Canada only) of the 50 page clinical manual plus an Orthotic Treatment Protocol and Prosthetic Treatment Protocol . All international sales PDF download only.
